FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for zinc alloy electrolytic deposition in the alkaline bath comprises current supply through the alkaline bath for electrolytic deposition of zinc alloy containing a cathode and an anode. The cathode region comprising a cathode and the anode region comprising an anode, are separated by a separator comprising an electrically conductive electrolyte gel. The catholyte contained in the cathode region is an alkaline electrolyte for electrodeposition of the zinc-nickel alloy containing an amine based chelating agent, and the anolyte contained in the anode region, is an aqueous alkaline solution.
EFFECT: extended electrolyte life, while maintaining its characteristics.
