FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to keyboard data input devices, which can be used as the user interface to control electronic instruments. It is achieved by that proposed is a keyboard with keys illumination, which includes a printed-circuit board with contact pads, a closing element placed over the contact pads, a separating plate installed on the printed-circuit board, herewith in the separating plate there are mounting seats, in which there are fixed light-conducting inserts from an elastic material forming the keys and made able to transmit when pressing the pressure force to the closing element due to elastic deformation along the vertical axis of the key, herewith at least one side of the light-conducting insert is made with a cylindrical light-reflecting surface, on the opposite side of which there is a light-emitting diode, a face film with applied symbols arranged on the upper surface of the separating plate.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, reliability and improved quality of the keyboard operation.
