FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of preparation of the fuel mixture for agglomeration includes homogenization of the initial fuel mixture components, screening and crushing of the homogenized fuel mixture. Herein crushing of the homogenized fuel mixture is done step-by-step in a cone-type and four-roll crushers with dosing the prepared fuel mixture into the sinter mix. The gap (δ) between the lower rollers of the four-roll crusher is set according to the formula: δ= 4.70d-1.87, where d is the arithmetic mean diameter of the fuel mixture initial components averaged in volume.
EFFECT: increased specific capacity of the sintering machine, and reduced fine content in the final agglomerate.
