SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of segments of flexible cutting elements made in form of chain links, containing at least one cutter support element and cutting element. Initial material is obtained by mixing at least one powder which is a metal or ceramic powder with at least one binder. Initial material is given the shape of segment of flexible cutting element, wherein cutter support element and cutting element are made integral with each other. Segment of flexible cutting element is sintered.

EFFECT: obtaining with high hardness and wear resistant segments of flexible cutting elements made of different materials.
