FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composition and method of preventing and treating age-related pathological conditions animals, who need them, in particular, domestic animals. Method involves administration of effective amount of composition representing nutritionally full ration containing protein source, carbohydrate source, vegetable source and fruit source. Protein source is represented by combination of chicken meat, egg albumen in quantity ranging from 4 % to 15 % in terms of total weight of composition in dry state, and corn gluten flour. Carbohydrate source is represented by combination of millet, brewing rice grits and oat groats. Vegetable source is represented by combination of carrots, spinach and tomato pomace. Fruit source is citrus pulp.

EFFECT: method results in subjected animal in treatment of animal, at least to one of following: delayed hypersensitivity reaction, reduced amount of excretion products, reduced accumulation of p-cresol, reduced accumulation of 3-methylhistidine, reduced accumulation of 4-hydroxyproline, increased levels of proteasome-1, increased levels of peroxyredoxin-1, increased levels of ceruloplasmin or combination of two or more of them.
