FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical and pharmaceutical industry, namely to a synthesis of copper complex of chlorophyll from plant raw materials, and may be used in food industry, cosmetics and medicine. The synthesis of copper complex of chlorophyll comprises treatment of plant raw material with aqueous-alcoholic solution of copper chloride at a ratio of 1:25, prepared on the basis of water : alcohol volumetric ratio of 1:(4.0-4.4), and copper chloride content on the basis of dry plant material : copper chloride volumetric ratio of 100:(5.0-6.0), at a temperature of 45-65°C for 20-30 minutes; wherein the selected alcohol contains two to four carbon atoms in the chain.

EFFECT: reduced number of stages of copper complex of chlorophyll synthesis, increased yield, improved product stability during 6 months storage.
