FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing 5-aminolevulinic acid methyl ester hydrochloride. The method comprises etherification of 5-aminolevulinic acid hydrochloride by methanol and involves 5-aminolevulinic acid hydrochloride boiling in methanol in the presence of 3A or 4A aluminosilicate molecular sieves, dried at 300-350°C prior to the reaction.
EFFECT: method for producing 5-aminolevulinic acid methyl ester hydrochloride, simplified and more eco-friendly process, achieved high conversion, high yield of the target product.
