SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. A pneumatic tire contains at least one bar-mat reinforcement, belt reinforcement with first and second edges, the tread. The said belt reinforcement contains the following separate elements: protector with a transverse half width L2, including a polymeric protector placed between two rubber sheath layers, at least a banding layer placed on the protector with the transverse half width L1 and including mutually parallel filament reinforcement elements, forming, at most, an angle eq. 7°, with respect to the circumferential direction of the air tire. The air tire contains at least one curb separating rubber layer (7) placed, at least, radially between the shroud layer (5) and the protector (6) and disposed at least on one transverse edge of the belt reinforcement. The noted curb separating rubber layer (7) has an overall length of between 10 to 40 mm and a thickness of 0.2 to 1.2 mm. The tire contains at least one protector, wherein at least one belt reinforcement edge (3) of L1, L2 half-width are different and have a difference (L1-L2), of from 5 to 10 mm.
EFFECT: invention enhances higher the car tires strength.
