FIELD: physics, instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a device for liquid and viscous materials mixing, and may find application in chemical, food, pharmaceutical, building and other industries. The mixer comprises a cylindrical stationary housing in the form of a cup, with an inner mixing device with a shaft and moving drive, and a cover. The mixing device is designed as a piston with radial openings fixed sliding relative to the inner wall of the cylindrical body. The shaft is adapted for reciprocating motion, is rigidly attached to the piston and centered by a journal bearing mounted in the cover. A radial hole plug is installed above the piston with a possibility of movement having the form of an additional piston on an additional shaft with aligning elements located on the additional piston surface with a possibility to overlap the radial holes. A discharge opening is located on the cup bottom. The aligning elements are designed as rubber balls, attached to the additional piston, with sphere diameters greater than the radial holes diameter.
EFFECT: improved performance of the mixer.
