FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to production of rod parts with heads made from titanium alloys, and can be used in aerospace engineering, as well as chemical machine building, ship building and automotive industry. Method of producing rod parts with heads made from two-phase (α+β) titanium alloys involves tempering of workpieces, application of surface thereof of a solid oxalate coating, molding parts by cold plastic deformation with planting heads and multiple reduction of rods and ageing of obtained parts. Tempering of workpieces is carried out in vacuum furnace at 720–740 °C with further cooling, multiple reduction of rods is performed with deformation degree of 10–30 %, ageing of parts is carried out in an electric furnace in air at 240–260 °C for 4–8 hours with further hydro-polishing of parts and thread rolling.
EFFECT: higher strength and longevity of articles.
