FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, rehabilitation of cardiac patients. Sessions of group behavioural psychotherapy with autogenic training and progressive muscle relaxation by Jacobson are performed for patients with myocardium infarction. The method is realised in stages, where each stage includes 2-3 sessions within the period not longer than 20 days. At the first stage progressive muscle relaxation by Jacobson is performed, with realisation of successive tension and relaxation of body muscles, mental training for removal of patient's worries about their disease with application of the following methods: "mental stop" - setting patient for positive perception of the world, absence of fixation of thoughts on the unpleasant, "counter-conditioning" - connecting situation, which used to cause fear, with opposite feeling of calmness, aimed at relaxation, "self-instruction" - repetition by patient of psychotherapist's instruction in outer speech, then to themselves. At the second stage to exercises of the first stage added are exercises on concentration of attention on separate parts of body at the background of listening to a musical composition. At the third stage breathing exercises with concentration of attention on them are performed: first, muscles of upper and lower extremities are strained at inhalation, and relaxed at exhalation. The complex is completed by doing 2-3 exercises on full breathing. In conclusion, additional self-suggestion of confidence and liberation from problems is realised.

EFFECT: method ensures increase of degree of adaptability in life, individualisation of treatment, reduction of psychic stress on training participants, intensification of processes of acceleration of rehabilitation procedures, reduction of time for achievement of relaxation state, absence of monotony and necessity of volitional effort for relaxation.
