FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, gynecology, medical psychology and psychotherapy, methods of using biological feedback (BFB) in treating chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPP), particularly using breathing trainings. Treatment of women with CPP is carried out individually, under the control of emotional well-being of the patient. That is ensured by using O. Odarushchenko's method of assessing emotional well-being "Emotional Wellbeing Test 1.0", including 9 sub-tests, by definition 9 psychological parameters: internality in family relations, rapport, subjective well-being, creativity, self-acceptance, flexibility of behavior, morality index, maturity of personality, self-esteem. Their values are used in calculating a general criterion (GC) of mental health, reflecting the level of emotional well-being, by formula (1) given in the description. According to the technique, 9 subtests of the technique are first performed to determine the value of each of the parameters in points, then obtained values of parameters in points on nine subtests are ranged in accordance with table 1, given in description, and calculating GC by formula (1), in conditional units. If GC is equal to or more than 11.2 standard units, which reflects emotional well-being of patient, it is followed by respiratory training with using BFB by HR on the basis of diaphragm-relaxation breathing according to A. Smetankin aimed at maximum cardiac arrhythmia – 10 sessions daily for 40 min. Each session is divided into two parts for 15 minutes from 10 minutes of rest between them, and during resting patient breathes diaphragmatically, without using BFB. If the GC value is less than 11.2 standard units, which reflects emotional troubles of the patient, then 12 sessions of respiratory training with BFB on HR by A. Smetankin are performed. Each session includes: 15 minutes of respiratory training with BFB, then 10 minutes of rest, 15 more minutes of training with BFB and hour session of body-oriented psychotherapy (BOP), followed by another 15 minutes of respiratory training with BFB. At end of 15-day course of exposures, the patient's GC definition is repeated, and if the value is higher than or equal to 11.2 standard units training with BFB and psychotherapy is considered effective and completed, and if GC is less than 11.2 – 12-day course of respiratory training with BFB and BOP is repeated in 1 month.
EFFECT: method provides individualization and a differentiated approach to treatment, taking into account features of objectively established emotional status of patient, which makes it possible to alleviate pain syndrome in CPP by 2-3 points by VAS from 2-3 sessions, as well as to increase recurrence-free post-treatment period to 1 year.
