FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to physiology. Trachea is found by palpation through skin in preliminarily narcotised and fixed animal on neck midline from the middle of thyroid cartilage 3-4 cm caudally, fixed by fingers and punctured between the second and third rings with 18G needle with 5 ml syringe, filled with physiological solution. Location of needle in trachea lumen is determined by supply of air when syringe plunger is pulled. After that, syringe is detached and wire guide is introduced through needle to the moment of its emergence from mouth opening or external nasal opening, on which intubation tube size 2.5 with cuff is put with its further passage into trachea, guide is removed, cuff is moderately blown, and tube is firmly fixed.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce time before beginning of artificial lung ventilation, reduce risk of trauma to blood vessels in the area of manipulation, improve quality of scientific experiment performance.
