FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to anaesthesiology, neurosurgery, surgery, traumatology, otorhinolaryngology, oncology. After performing the tracheal aperture under visual control, the endotracheal tube is pulled up to the upper angle of the tracheal aperture. Tracheal aperture is dilated in the longitudinal and transverse directions with the Trousseau wound retractor until the aperture gap appears and the posterior wall of the trachea is visualized. Trousseau wound retractor is removed from the wound. Tracheostomy cannula is introduced through the gaping aperture into the trachea. Intubation tube is removed from the trachea before the neck wound is closed.
EFFECT: method enables improving the configuration of the wound of the anterior tracheal wall when performing tracheostomy, reducing the frequency of tracheostomy cuff damage, reducing the risk of tracheal mucosa damage, reducing the length of treatment.
