FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to anaesthesiology, neurosurgery, surgery, traumatology, otorhinolaryngology, oncology. Intraoperative sanation of the supra-cuff space is carried out in two stages. First, the endotracheal tube is tightened with the cuff deflated by 1/3 of the volume to the level of the tracheal aperture, and blood, mucus and sputum are removed. Then the endotracheal tube is delivered to level of 1 tracheal ring. Tracheostomy cannula is inserted, the cannula cuff is inflated. Neck wound is closed and the cannula is fixed with straps around the neck. Tracheal sanitation catheter or bronchoscope is inserted through the endotracheal tube into the supra-cuff space, through which the contents are aspirated, the supra-cuff space is washed with a solution of furacillin and an aqueous solution of chlorhexidine. Broad-spectrum antibiotics are administered.
EFFECT: method enables improving the treatment results in the patients with impaired respiratory function, reducing the risk of developing tracheitis and purulent complications in the neck wound.
