FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of powder material, suitable for making gas diffusion hydrophobisated electrodes of fuel elements and air-metal current sources. Method of producing powders for making gas diffusion electrodes involves fluidisation of highly dispersed filler, mixing and homogenisation with liquid, adding to obtained dispersion a suspension of a hydrophobic polymer, homogenisation of obtained mixture, holding until completion of coagulation, separation of solid phase, its multiple rolling in one direction and drying with subsequent milling.
EFFECT: invention increases surface of hydrophobic polymer and increases volume of pores filled with gas in gas-diffusion electrodes, and increases their service life.
