FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: device for separation of starch-containing suspensions, comprising a casing with filtrate and retentate receivers, mounted therein a tapered filtering rotor installed equipped with elements providing accordingly for regulation of the residue flow along the filtering surface and delivery of suspension into the rotor. The element regulating the residue flow along the filtering surface consists of a series of ring-shaped disks arranged along the rotor with adjustable clearances and attached by means of the support at coaxially filtering surface. The ring-shaped disks are attached to the cone. Wherein the casing is provided with a driving mechanism made in the form of several, minimum four, cylinders with movable rods extending through their central hole and fixed in elastic toroids filled with fluid with reciprocating motion pneumatic control in the cylinder, and the control unit switches them alternately with a frequency of 1-2 Hz.
EFFECT: increased performance and improved quality of separation.
