FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the sphere of starch industry immediately dealing with extraction of starch milk from crushed potatoes or cereals pulp. The device proposed consists of a casing with filtrate and residue receptacles. Inside the casing there is a tapered filtering rotor installed equipped with elements providing accordingly for regulation of the residue flow along the filtering surface and delivery of suspension into the rotor. The element regulating the residue flow along the filtering surface consists of a series of ring-shaped disks arranged along the rotor (with adjustable clearances relative to the filter surface provided for) and attached by means of the support at the rotor base. The support contains fins arranged along the rotor and ring-shaped disks attached to the fins. The support may equally contain a cone coaxial to the rotor filtering surface with the ring-shaped discs being attached to the said cone in such a case. The device is characterised by simplified design as compared to widely-used analogues. The invention enables the finished product quality improvement due to separation efficiency enhancement.
