FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine engineering and can be used as a transmission for converting a rotary motion into a linear one in a wide range of the special assembly and coupling equipment of the rocket-space complex. An orbital roller drive contains a screw in the form of two half-nuts with a regulating washer between them and a number of intermediate thread rolls mounted in the separators with their journals. The thread rolls are made with a toothing section smaller in length while maintaining the length of the threaded joint section. A toothing section is made on each side of the ends on a smooth cylindrical surface the diameter of which is smaller than the inner diameter of the roller thread. The outer ring teeth of the tooth roller are clipped in the head area with a reduction of their height. Cylindrical groove is made in the middle of the thread rolls. The half-nuts are fitted in the middle part with the regulatory mechanism in the form of a bolted flange connection for the bolts. In one half-nut, the bolt holes are made as radially oriented longitudinal pocket with the possibility of the angular half-nut displacement against each other.
EFFECT: gaps in the toothing of the half-nuts and thread rolls, mechanical losses, wear and heating of the contact surfaces of the threaded and tooth joints, as well as the noise level are reduced during operation.
