FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for identifying the fuzzy image duplicates is proposed. The method comprises the stage, at which identifying the plurality of triples of the adjacent related features (TARF) is performed, based on the rating of the singular points CORNER, for each of the image-requests, wherein each TARF consists of a singular spot point (BLOB) and two angular singular points (CORNER). Further, according to the method, images from the collection of images are detected by the index entries, associated with, at least, the TARF of the said plurality of, at least, one image-candidate, which contains, at least, one TARF coinciding with the TARF of the said plurality of the TARF image-request.
EFFECT: improving the efficiency of search and retrieval of images from the image collection.
