SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, and more exactly to device transferring rotation or braking. The friction engagement element comprises a friction element (91b), mainly out of resin, and e metal element (93). The metal element (93) has sliding surface (93b) sliding on the friction element (91b). The friction element (91b) comprises aged layer (91d) in outermost external layer, and a reinforced layer (91e) with adjoining to the internal side of the aged layer (91d) through thickness of the friction element (91b). The sliding surface (93b) of the metal element (93) has a plurality of slots (95) and repositioned film (97) of the aged layer (91d) of the friction element (91b), repositioned and adhered to the internal part of slots (95) via sliding between the friction element (91b) and the metal element (93).
EFFECT: stability of transferred torque.
