FIELD: hygiene.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multi-touch coating composition sensitive to water medium, which can be applied in form of coating on various parts of absorbent article for further indication of humidity and capacity of product. Absorbent product comprises layer of upper sheet, layer of lower plate and one absorbent inner layer. Each of following layers: layer of upper sheet, absorbent inner layer and layer of lower sheet includes longitudinal lateral peripheral edge. Absorbent product also comprises coating composition sensitive to water medium for release of active ingredients of absorbent product. Coating composition sensitive to water medium is located on absorbent article near longitudinal side of peripheral edge. Coating composition includes betaine ester or betaine derivative ester, containing functional active group, obtained from flavoring substance containing hydroxyl group, and visual indicator based on chemical substance, changing color, wherein visual indicator chemical substance is selected from at least one of following substances: pH indicator dye and pH regulator, thermochromic dye and dye sensitive to type of polarity.

EFFECT: such coating composition provides visual and based on odor change warning of contamination of product and/or threat of outflow of product; at the same time said coating provides masking of smell in case of water pollution of article with physiological fluids, for example, urine, vaginal discharge, menstrual blood, slime or intestinal secretions, or in alternative version, spilt domestic fluids containing liquid water.
