An absorbent article which comprises top sheet 1, backsheet 2 and absorbent 3, wherein indicating portion 6 whose colour visual change when coming into contact with fluid positioned between backsheet 2 and absorbent body 3, and an absorbent body 3 comprises an absorbent core 4, which comprises a fibrous material 41 and an absorbent polymer 42 and cover sheet 5 which covers outer surface of absorbent core 4, wherein cover sheet 5 has a cross-sectional view of absorbent body 3 baggy portion 51, which covers area of contact with skin side surface to not skin-contacting side of absorbent core 4 and covering mouth portion 52 connected to bag-shaped part 51 and disposed outward from it, and closing mouth portion 52 is formed so both lateral end portions 5a and 5b of cover sheet 5, arranged on skin contacting surface side of absorbent core 4 bonded in a state where they face each other and stacked, and wherein closing mouth portion 52 is disposed so as to completely cover area 61 which is indicator part 6 and closing mouth of bag-shaped part 52 and part 51 are connected.

EFFECT: presence or absence of secretions can detect visually.
