Method of moving pictures encoding for motion vector predictor calculating, including receiving of each of one or more first motion vector predictor candidates, based on motion vector used for unit encoding, spatially or temporarily adjacent to current unit; receiving of one or more second motion vector predictor candidates, wherein as motion vector each has predetermined vector; selecting, from one or more first motion vector predictor candidates and one or more second motion vector predictor candidates, of motion vector predictor, to be used for current unit motion vector encoding; adding index to identify motion vector predictor to bits stream; determination of maximum number of motion vector predictor candidates; besides, while adding index this index is encoded using defined maximum number and encoded index is added to bits stream.
