SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a mixing device for mixing exhaust gases (EG) in exhaust pipe with an additive, in particular, in internal combustion engines (ICE). Mixer for mixing an additive with an exhaust gas stream, comprising at least one streamlined surface, that is located on mixing section of exhaust pipe, into which are fed exhaust gases with an additive and on which exhaust pipe has a cross section and main direction of flow of exhaust gases, wherein at least one streamlined surface is located in centre of mixing section and is directed along main direction of flow of exhaust gases, and in streamlined surface there are multiple blind cavities, creating in exhaust gas flow vortices and transverse current streams, at least one streamlined surface is formed by at least one solid plate, wherein plate has two streamlined surfaces and on both sides has multiple blind cavities.
EFFECT: invention provides excellent mixing of EG and additive without generation of high hydraulic resistance.
