FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to purification of internal combustion engine exhaust gases. Exhaust gases (EG) toxicity reduction system (10) has storage tank (40) with a reducing agent, dosing pump (55), mixer (70) and compressed gas supply system (30). Dosing pump (55) supplies reducing agent (42) from storage tank (40) containing it to mixer (70), and compressed gas (33) supply system (30) supplies it to mixer (70), thereby providing reducing agent (42) spraying. Mixer (70) is spaced from dosing pump (55) supplying reducing agent (42) to mixer (70) via reducing agent conduit (60). Mixer (70) is located directly on that section of exhaust path (20) where the exhaust gases flow passes. Dosing of reducing agent (42) supplied to exhaust path (20) is performed by dosing pump (55).
EFFECT: exhaust gases toxicity reduction system (10), as well as a method for supplying reducing agent (42) into exhaust path (20) of internal combustion engine (5).
