FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to article in medicine and is intended for care of weak people both in healthcare facilities and at home and aims at increasing comfort of use of bed. Medical bed operates on principle of wheel pair, rotating at one point, where instead of rails four rotation rollers with groove boards are placed to constrict its displacement sideways. Bed consists of two units, namely bed with side frame and supports under bed, which are equipped with at least mean bringing it in vertical state and at maximum mounted equipment – transmission, responsible for transferring of two lodges of bed forces on their rotation in two planes by mechanical reduction through rotation of handle or electric drives. First unit of article-bed has two back beds in form of hollow steel hoops, wherein one hoop is perforated outside with holes along whole circumference, intended to enter therein of gear teeth, transmitting it via reduction gear drive force or through lever unit with double ratchet, since second hoop is rigidly and symmetrically coupled with it through rectangular frame, which acts role of bed – 1, then common bed is rotated about its lengthwise axis in both sides. Second article unit is bed support, which is frame, on which there are four rollers rotating upwards, creating by their vertices single bearing surface for two hollow steel hoops of bed for vertical adjustment of patient mean for bringing bed into vertical state is used, identical to rectangular frame of bed with added crate for mattress, and represents bed – 2, where in center of middle plate of crates axle is rigidly mounted, passing through insert installed in center of bed frame, where at outlet from it is splitted and equipped with planetary gear, coupled with mating gear of semi-axle, provided with crank handle and derived on short side of bed frame, coupled with perforated hoop. Bringing bed - 2 into vertical state is performed in sequence from initially horizontal position of bed, where long and short sides of mean bringing bed in vertical state coincide with similar sides of bed frame, where first step is performed by turning mean bringing bed in vertical state perpendicular to longitudinal axis of bed with obligatory fixation of given position with retainer. Second step of vertical adjustment is turning by 90 degrees of bed in required direction with obligatory using of retainer for achieved vertical position, materials for making medical bed can be metal, such as aluminium, steel and stainless steel.
