HYDROKINESITHERAPY METHOD FOR PATIENTS WITH CONSEQUENCES OF SEVERE CEREBRO-SPINAL INJURY AT CERVICAL LEVEL Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61H1/00 A61H33/00

Abstract RU 2615079 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to restoration treatment of disabled persons with the consequences of severe cerebro-spinal injury at the cervical level: tetraplegic, rough tetraparesis, by performing an exercise complex in a pool of water. At that, the patient is immersed in water prior to the session. If the patient's face expression is peaceful, no cyanotic skin is observed, pronounced spastic reaction lastng 20-40 seconds accompanies the process of entry into the water, no violation of respiratory rhythm is observed, and the patient's well-being is subjectively good, the exsercise session begins. The first session includes four exercises: in the starting position (SP) on the chest, holding the rail by hands, exhalation is made into the water 3-5 times; SP on the back, hands straight up to the sides, feet down to the sides with longitudinal arbitrary stretching of body and limbs by pulling the pelvis up; then - the previous exercise with advancement due to simultaneous strokes with both hands with straight body stretching in the direction of motion; body is maximally straight, pelvis tucked up, hands straight up, feet down, advancement by simultaneous strokes with both hands with straight body longitudinal stretching in the direction of motion. The following is added during the second session: in the SP on the back, motion along the side of the pool, with one hand holding the handrail, strokes by the other hand, and then - in the opposite direction; then sliding along the side, pushing off by the hand, keeping from swinging and twisting, and then - in the opposite direction; then - motion with "back crawl" strokes with one hand, keeping from swinging and twisting, and then - with the other hand; then "back crawl" with both hands alternately, keeping from swinging and twisting; then the "arrow" exercise: "back crawl" strokes with one hand, stretching along the longitudinal axis, keeping from swinging and twisting, and then - with the other hand. The following is added during the fifth session: in the SP on the back "back crawl" strokes with both hands alternately, with longitudinal stretching, keeping from swinging and twisting; SP on the chest, holding the handrail, hands straight up, head down, exhalation into the water, keeping the stretching along the longitudinal axis, feet "crawl" motion; in the SP on the back , the body is stretched, arms are along the body, "dolphin" exercise: pelvis movement up and down; then hands are directed up to the sides, feet down to the sides, with arbitrary body and limbs stretching along the longitudinal axis, pulling the pelvis up, advancement due to simultaneous strokes by both straight arms; SP on the chest, holding the body horizontally, holding hands on the rail, exhalation into the water. Hydrokinesitherapy course consists of 10 sessions of 30-45 minutes. First, you can use the Noodles support tool.

EFFECT: method provides motor function formation in this group of patients with severe disabilities, with real adaptive effect at development and increase of activity, random limb movement amplitude, gripping function, improved operation of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems.
