SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to urology, and can be applied for determination of degree of activity of chronic obstructive pyelonephritis exacerbation. For this purpose evaluation of clinical picture of inflammatory process is carried out on the basis of patient's complains, collection of anamnesis and determination of clinical-laboratory indices, such as clinical blood test, clinical urine test and urine Nechiporenko test. Additionally determined is level of proinflammatory cytokine iL-8 in urine, taken from ureter of patient's affected obstructive kidney. If level of proinflammatory cytokine iL-8 is equal 135.0±1.7 pcg/ml, I, light activity degree of activity of chronic obstructive pyelonephritis exacerbation is determined, if level of cytokine iL-8 is equal 278.0±37.0 pcg/ml, - II, medium degree of activity of chronic obstructive pyelonephritis exacerbation is determined, and if level of cytokine iL-8 is equal 1890.0±250.0, severe degree of activity of chronic obstructive pyelonephritis exacerbation is determined.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to determine presence of unilateral or bilateral inflammatory process and accompanying inflammatory process in urinary bladder.
