SUBSTANCE: glass-melting installation comprises a glass-melting furnace with the feeding hole located in the side wall of the bath below the theoretical glass level determined by the position of the drain gutter for the molten material, and a loading device. The loading device for the mixture of vitrifiable materials in the glass-melting furnace at the level, which is below the level of the molten glass, comprises a casing with a jacket and a mechanical transport system of the vitrifiable materials disposed in the said casing. The head with a damper is removably secured at the end of the jacket. A tubular connecting element is fixed to the damper and is intended for introducing the raw material partially into the loading opening provided in the side wall of the furnace. The damper and the connecting element contain a system of the internal channels. The damper may be connected to the coolant source. Cooling, preferably continuous, of the loading device heads occurs by circulating a cooling liquid in the system of the internal channels of the damper and the coupling element. The pulping method includes supplying, preferably continuous, of the mixture of vitrifiable materials into the glass-melting furnace through a loading hole by means of the said loading device.

EFFECT: exclusion of prior burning or moisture of the starting material containing an organic binder, and preventing the entrainment of the starting material.
