FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to charge loader 1 including: reel 4 determining loading direction X of charge 2 of glass-forming material to furnace 3, and mechanical node 5 equipped with element 6 for transportation of charge 2 to furnace 3 in loading direction X and motor device 7 for driving specified transportation element 6. Transportation element 6 is at least partially placed in reel 4. Mechanical node 5 is progressively movable relatively to reel 4 in loading direction X. The loader also includes a device for measuring at least one value of a physical variable parameter, provided by operation of charge loader 1: torque created by motor drive device 7 of specified transportation element 6, current force in a motor of specified motor drive device 7, temperature inside reel 4 at its farthest downstream end and/or concentration of gaseous combustion products inside reel 4.
EFFECT: invention allows for a human, as an operator, and/or a machine to position a transportation element in reel 4 depending on loading conditions; risks of breakout of gaseous combustion products, jamming and/or sudden ejection of a plug of loaded charge material to a melting chamber are reduced.
