FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a heater for heating an image on a sheet and to an equipped with it image heating device. Declared group of inventions includes heaters and an image heating device. Herewith the heater, which is used with the image heating device, includes a section of power supply equipped with the first terminal and the second terminal, electrically connected with the said power supply section a connector section and an endless belt for heating the image on the sheet, herewith the said heater is in contact with the belt for heating this belt and comprises: a substrate, at least one first electric contact provided on the said substrate and electrically connected to the first terminal through the connector section, multiple second electric contacts provided on the said substrate and electrically connected to the second terminal through the connector section, multiple electrode sections, which include the first electrode section electrically connected to the said first electric contact, and the second electrode sections electrically connected with the said second electric contacts, herewith the said first electrode sections and the said second electrode sections are arranged alternately with specified intervals in the longitudinal direction of the said substrate, and multiple heat-generating sections provided between adjacent of the said electrode sections in such a way, that they are electrically connected between adjacent sections of the electrodes, herewith the said heat-generating sections are able to generate heat during power supply between adjacent sections of the electrodes, wherein the said first electric contact and the said second electric contacts are arranged on the same side of the terminal section of the said substrate relative to the longitudinal direction.

EFFECT: technical result is creation of a heater, in which the width of the heat-generating area can vary in order to have a short length of the substrate, while the connector can be mounted on it, as well as it is providing a heater having a relatively smaller length.
