FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes a heater adapted to use with an image heating device, heating device and image heater manufacturing method adapted for use with an image heating device. Wherein the heater is arranged to contact the ribbon and the heating ribbon comprising: a substrate; a plurality of electrode portions including the first electrode portion electrically connectable to the first terminal and the second electrode portion electrically connectable to a second terminal, said first electrode portion and said second electrode portion alternately arranged with predetermined gaps in a longitudinal direction of said substrate; and a plurality of heat generating portions provided between said adjacent electrode portions so as to electrically connect the adjacent electrode portions, said heat-generating part configured to generate heat by supplying electric energy between adjacent electrode parts; in the transverse direction of mentioned substrate, the distance between the ends of the adjacent electrode portions is greater than the width of mentioned plurality of heat generating portions.
EFFECT: provision of a heater with a reduced inhomogeneity of heat generation.
