FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: heater, which is usable with an image heating device, includes contacts, including at least a first contact, provided on a substrate and connectable to the first terminal, and a second contact, provided on a substrate and connectable to the second terminal; electrodes, arranged in the longitudinal direction of the substrate with predetermined intervals; conductive lines, which are connecting the electrodes with corresponding contacts, so the said electrode, that is connected to the first terminal, and mentioned electrode, connected to the second contacts arranged alternately in the longitudinal direction of the substrate; and heat generating sections, which are provided between adjacent electrodes, respectively, to generate heat when power is applied between adjacent electrodes, wherein all the first contacts are provided on one substrate terminal section relative to the longitudinal direction, and all the second contacts are provided on the other end section relative to the longitudinal direction.
EFFECT: increasing the uniformity of heating.
