FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: mechanical expander comprises a hollow tubular body where a traction rod is located with a possibility of longitudinal displacement. The traction rod is connected to a wedge, where expansion segments are arranged with a thrust towards the tubular body. The segments have a possibility of radial displacement due to wedge longitudinal movement relative to the tubular body. Drive is provided to move the traction rod. The traction rod and the wedge are interconnected by a connection non-releasable without breaking or by monolithic implementation.
EFFECT: possibility of high efforts transmission through the rod and the wedge.
