FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: to simulate this condition in rabbits, a bone for simulation is initially selected. Local infiltrative anesthesia is performed, directing the syringe percutaneously to the cortical bone plate. Then the syringe body is removed, a mandrel is installed through the syringe needle and the cortical plate is pierced; the mandrel is removed by attaching a syringe with an orthophosphoric acid solution to the needle. The solution is slowly introduced in various directions within the bone volume, whereupon the syringe is removed, the mandrel is installed again and the needle is removed. The phosphoric acid solution is applied with a concentration of 0.2 M to 1.0 M to provide varying degrees of bone mineral density reduction. Such administration results in density reduction by 10% at administered orthophosphoric acid concentration increase by 0.1 M.

EFFECT: method provides controlled reduction of bone mineral density with decreased manipulation trauma and maintaining usual animal welfare and care conditions.
