FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method of signal transmission in electrical exploration magnetotelluric systems, including transmission of signals from a magnetic field sensor (MFS) to a data collection unit (DCU) via a cable and of power from the DCU to the MFS, is characterized in that it further includes transmission of control commands from the DCU to the MFS. And the transmission of actual signals, control commands and power is done via three separate shielded pairs of twisted conductors enclosed in a common cable jacket.
EFFECT: development of a method for signal transmission in electrical exploration magnetotelluric systems by increasing the signal-to-noise ratio including the transmission of data from several primary transducers of magnetic field to the detection and collection system.
