SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a portion capsule for beverage preparation, as well as to a method of making a beverage and to use of capsule. Portion capsule for beverage preparation comprises a capsule body with a capsule bottom and a filling side, wherein between capsule body and filling side, a hollow space is provided for accommodation of powdered or liquid beverage substrate, wherein between beverage substrate and capsule bottom there is a filter element and when preparing a beverage, a drain member protrudes through capsule bottom into hollow space and/or opening means, wherein filter element at least in parts is rigid, and so is provided on or in area of capsule bottom that drain member and/or opening means pricks, pierces and/or moves filter element relative to capsule body.
EFFECT: invention discloses a portion capsule and a beverage preparation method using portion capsule.
