FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: device for determining the coefficient of tire friction on the roadway surface comprises of a measuring wheel mounted on the spring-mounted suspension axle attached to the trailer frame with a cross-beam member and a hitch bracket. A wheel load is installed on the frame. The braking system includes a brake actuator with a hydraulic cylinder connected to the hydraulic wheel brake. An expansion tank of the road sprinkling system is placed on the trailer frame. A suspension link is mounted on the measuring wheel axle through one end and a dynamometric plate with a break force detector, laser transducer, is installed on the other end of it. The transducer measures deflection of the dynamometric plate and is connected to the control unit. A steering angle sensor for the measuring wheel is set on the same end and connected to the control unit too. The brake actuator located on the trailer frame comprises of a gear motor wired the control unit, a crank mechanism connected to the hydraulic cylinder of the brake actuator, and an electronic module which stops the power supplu to the gear motor under overload. There is a support on the hitch cross-beam member. There is a hitch bracket disc placed between the brake pads. The disc is fixed rotatable on the hitch cross-beam member. The support hydraulic drive is linked to the hydraulic cylinder of the brake actuator. The trailer frame is made in the form of two interconnected parallel structures which make a parallelogram in a vertical plane.
EFFECT: increased reliability of the device operation by increasing reliability of the braking system while stopping the device from skidding when it brakes and reducing errors in the brake force measurement.
