SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a portable electric appliance remote control device. The portable electric appliance remote control device, in a housing in the form of a rectangular plate, has a front panel, a rear panel and lateral sides, wherein: on the front panel there is a keyboard for remote control of the electric appliance; on the rear panel there is a touchpad for editing information and inputting information into the electric appliance; and on one of the lateral sides there is a switch used for turning on one and turning off the other of the front panel and the rear panel, wherein the touchpad has a cursor positioning mode, an edit mode using the keyboard and a pen-based input mode; wherein the required mode is selected by moving fingers on the multi-touch touchpad to switch between said three modes.
