FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surface treatment of enameled steel articles and can be used in production of enameled steel articles used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, oil, gas industry and construction. Method involves heat treatment of an enamelled steel article for 25–30 minutes in presence of a SnCl2 salt at a ratio of 1.5–2 g per 40 cm2 surface, wherein heat treatment is performed at temperature 500–550°C.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain on surface of enameled steel articles high-quality chemical-resistant tin oxide coating, providing longer service life of enameled steel articles.
