FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: hip rotator (HR) muscle load vectors are determined in the horizontally plane (HP) HJ at normal horizontal inclination angle (HIA). To do this, computer or magnetic resonance imaging of the pelvis without anatomical and morphological and functional disorders of the hip joint (HJ) is performed from the level of small hip skewers and ending at the level of the iliac crests with 35 mm increment. "eFilm Lite™ 3.4" is used for gradual exploration of the obtained slices, horizontal section opening in the "T2 tra pelvis" mode on one of the levels between the fifth lumbar vertebra body and the second sacral vertebra with the widest part of the gluteus medius muscle (GMM). Using the "Measurement Tool-Line", the rearmost point of GMM attachment to ilium on both sides is marked and saved using the "Copy to all Images" line in the "Menu". The front end point of GMM attachment to the ilium is marked from the both sides and saved. The second section - through hip heads, ridges and pear intertrochanteric fossa of greater trochanters - is displayed in the program window. The saved two points of GMM attachment to the ilium in the previous section are automatically projected onto the displayed section. Using the "Measurement Tool-Line" button, the point of interior and exterior HR attachment to the outer surface of the greater trochanter in the point of intersection of the longitudinal axis of hip head and neck with the outer surface of the greater trochanter, is mark on both sides. This point is saved using the "Menu" and "Copy to all Images" line. The first section, where three saved points are visualized, is opened once again. Three lines are plotted through them to obtain a triangle (T) on both sides, where the vertex angle is the point of interior and exterior HR attachment to the outer surface of the greater trochanter. Sides T: front side T corresponds to the interior HR group direction line, and the rear side - the exterior HR direction line in the horizontal plane. These lines represent the HJHP HR load vectors. The vertex angle of each T is divided by the longitudinal axis of hip head and neck into two angles. The front angle α is the interior HR load vector deflection angle, and the rear angle β is the exterior HR load vector deflection angle from the ongitudinal axis of hip head and neck in HJHP. Values of these angles are determined using the "Measurement Tool-Line" menu.
EFFECT: method provides topographically and anatomically reasonable determination of direction of the said hip rotator load vectors in the horizontally plane hip joint at normal horizontal inclination angle.
