FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: optical sensory fabric consists of two layers formed by side-firing light guides perpendicular to each other, with polarization coating applied to their lateral surface, which internal structure is symmetrical about the axial line of the light guide. Light guide cores of one of the layers are optically interfaced with corresponding emitters, connected to the computing machine outputs, while light guide cores of the second layer are optically interfaced with corresponding photoelectric detectors, connected to the computing machine inputs.
EFFECT: increased functionality, improved reliability.
