SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to luggage check-in system for luggage reception and check-in on airline flights and a method for luggage items check-in. Luggage check-in system comprises two conveyors equipped with static or dynamic scale with a plurality of spaced strain gauge, calculating means, horizontal frame member mounted in a certain way, a frame of spaced vertical elements, photocells, means for automatic reading of luggage tags and boarding passes, light grids, means measuring the temperature, length, shape, movement and vibration of the load, motion and distance sensors, output and input door with automatic opening and closing mechanism. For the check-in, items of luggage are placed on the first conveyor belt, the analysis of luggage, its weight and size, is performed, luggage tag is read or received in a certain way, the payment for excess luggage weight is performed.
EFFECT: airline passengers perform self luggage check-in.
