FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: polylactic acid product are placed for at least 5 seconds into a mixture of two miscible solvents. One of solvents refers to aromatic hydrocarbons, or halogenated hydrocarbons or amides with volumetric content of at least 10% in the mixture, and the second ine refers to alcohols, or esters, or ketones, or is water with volumetric content of not more than 90%. Then it is placed into a solution of iodine or its compounds, or in iodine vapors for at least 10 minutes, then the product is removed, washed with ethanol and dried.
EFFECT: method allows to produce polylactic acid articles of various shapes and sizes that are radiopaque and possess antimicrobial activity.
