FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: for the method, polylactic acid product is placed for at least 10 seconds into a mixture of two miscible solvents. One of solvents refers to aromatic hydrocarbons, or halogenated hydrocarbons or amides with volumetric content of at least 10% in the mixture. The second solvent refers to alcohols, or esters, or ketones, or is water with volumetric content of not more than 90%. The product was then placed in a solution of polyacrylic acid or salts thereof for at least 30 min, recovered, washed and dried.
EFFECT: method allows to produce polylactic acid articles of various shapes with increased hydrophilic capabilities of surface without changing the mechanical properties of the implant material, and containing carboxyl groups on the surface, which allows further surface modification.
