SUBSTANCE: method involves boring a cylindrical hole in the long-axis workpiece clamped in the chuck and the lunette horizontal boring machine comprising a tool holder and the front and back headstock with the centers in which the treatment is carried out using a boring-reinforcing block, planted with the possibility of self-serve at established centers quill machine headstock and tailstock spindle axial guide rod with a square cross section, and clamped in the tool holder of the machine plug, excluding cranking said block from the action of cutting forces. Boring and reinforcing unit has a central internal bore of the square transverse section and is provided with boring and reinforcement units.
EFFECT: high precision position the hole axis.
