SUBSTANCE: power circuit contains a power supply system, an energy storage device, and a gradient power supply amplifier in the gradient coil of the system forming magnetic resonance images, herewith the power supply system includes a power source for supplying the first voltage to the gradient amplifier for excitation of the gradient coil, herewith the gradient amplifier output is connected with the gradient coil; herewith the energy storage device has an input coupled to the power source, herewith the energy storage device is configured to supply the second voltage to the gradient amplifier, herewith the energy storage device is parallel to the gradient amplifier and the power source, herewith the energy storage device contains a voltage converter configured to control the second voltage so that to compensate for, at least, part of the change in the first voltage induced by the excitation of the gradient coil.
EFFECT: reduction of the geometric distortions in the reconstructed magnetic resonance image.
