FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method for laser-powder protective coating overlaying on the input edge of steam turbine working blade made of steel of "13Х11Н2В2МФ-Ш", or "15Х11МФ-Ш", or "20Х13" grades. Filler metal and laser radiation are fed to the surface of the leading blade edge. The laser beam is moved on the overlayed surface and an overlay with overlapping zone is formed. The laser beam is moved on the overlayed surface at an angle of 20-80 degrees to the blade edge. When overlaying, the temperature of the leading blade edge from 100 to 250°C is ensured. After overlaying, the blade is cooled at a speed of no more than 50°C/hour.
EFFECT: minimization of the temperature deformation of the blade feather in the process of laser-powder overlaying, reduced level of residual stresses in the overlay and the base material, leading to a decrease in the fatigue strength of the part.
