FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and may be used in reconditioning or repair of steam turbine vanes. Proposed method comprises removal and reconditioning of vane worn-out section, vane machining, producing protective stellite strips on lip and thermal treatment. Reconditioning comprises building up by stable austenitic nickel and/or cobalt alloys and alloy of nickel with cobalt. Note here that machining aims at recovering vane lip geometry by producing recesses on built-up section for stellite strips. Note also that shape, sizes and arrangement of said recesses comply with those of said protective strips.
EFFECT: longer life, higher hardness.
